Thermometers reach 26ºC in Malaga in mid-January
The more than 26 degrees the thermometers reached in Malaga this weekend made us think that was not January but other time of the year. It was one of the highest temperatures ever recorded in this month and nearly ten degrees higher than normal average this season.

Juzcar, the first Smurf Village in the World
The
village of Juzcar (in Malaga province, Spain) became last June 16, 2011 the first Smurf Village in the world.
The Smurfs, hunted by the evil Gargamel, have escaped their village to settle
in this village of Malaga province. Juzcar was the village chosen to host
"Papa Smurf", "Smurfette," "Clumsy,"
"Grumpy" and the other blue smurfs for the premiere of the film
"The Smurfs 3D".

Torrijas
This traditional dessert can be found in Spain with different names and variations. Torrijas are a dessert of great antiquity. Probably the origin of them was the interest in convents to use the leftovers, in this case, the day before bread.
