La Gomera (Canary Islands)

The last island has not yet an airport is perhaps for this cause, a stronghold of ancestral customs and nature that amazes visitors with its rare vegetation and steepest orography. In fact, the 370 square km of this island are pure ravine. The slopes of La Gomera have always done difficult communications between their people, maintaining many areas untouched. The Gomera landscape is surprising with exotic green steep valleys, in which unlikely hanging terraces and thousands of palms, but especially for the unexpected luxuriance of its plateau centre, where it grows the ancient laurel forest wrapped in the fog.
